If you are 70½ years or older, you can bring about lasting change at the NBP using your IRA and save on taxes. By directly transferring your qualified charitable distributions from your IRA to NBP, you can exclude this amount from your taxable income, unlike regular IRA withdrawals, which are usually taxed. Remember, this transfer must be made directly to NBP, a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization [ID# 33-0045387], to enjoy this advantage.
