Everything You Need to Know About Our Botanical Preserve

Where is the Preserve located?

  • Located in Crown Valley Park at 29751 Crown Valley Parkway, Laguna Niguel, between I-5 freeway and Pacific Coast Highway. 
  • Entrances are above the outdoor amphitheater. 

Is there a cost/entry fee to visit the Preserve?

  • Free and open to the public. 
  • Support of our non-profit organization via membership is encouraged.

What are the hours of operation?

  • Open from sunrise to sunset, operating seven days a week, all year round. 

Are dogs allowed?

  • Dogs are welcome but must be leashed, and owners must ensure waste is picked up. 
  • Stay on the designated trails for safety reasons and plant preservation.

Are weddings or private events allowed?

  • The Preserve cannot be reserved and does not host weddings or other private events of any kind.
  • No gatherings of more than 10 people are allowed, with the exception of events hosted by the Niguel Botanical Preserve.

Is photography allowed?

  • Personal photography is welcomed, adhering to these rules:
    • Ensure no disruption to other visitors’ experience. 
    • No usage of props, sets, or extensive equipment. 
    • Restricted to public operation hours. 
  • Professional photographers are subject to stricter guidelines:
    • A permit from the City of Laguna Niguel is mandatory.
    • Contact the Administrative Secretary at Crown Valley Park for more info at (949) 425-5100. 
    • Adhere to boundaries: stay on trails or hardscape areas, avoid plant/flower beds, and do not move existing items. 

Are guided tours of the Preserve available?

  • Guided walking or golf cart tours are provided annually for members and three of their guests. 
  • Self-guided tours accessible throughout operation hours. Use our garden map for guidance. 

Where should I park?

  • Free parking is available next to the Crown Valley Park Community Center building, including the pool and playground areas. 

Who are the members of the Board of Directors?

  • The Board of Directors is comprised of nine (9) members who are elected by the general membership.
  • Directors serve for a period of three (3) years.
