Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Preserve. If you like to work outside, get your hands dirty, or just want to provide support for the upkeep and improvement of our gardens, there are several ways you can help!

The Preserve is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that continues to grow and thrive thanks to our members. Benefits of membership include:

Attend a Volunteer Event

  • Second Saturday, 9 am – 11 am

Stop by on the second Saturday of each month! Help with small projects in the Preserve, such as planting, weeding and clean-up. Meet at the top of the amphitheater at the main entrance to the Preserve. (link to flyer)

  • Earth Day

Our Earth Day celebration is held in April of each year. This year’s event is Saturday, April 18th, 9-11am. This is our largest volunteer event every year, with approximately 150-200 volunteers attending. Volunteers plant, weed and perform various other garden tasks on a large scale throughout the Preserve. (link to sign up)

  • Fall Planting

This annual event is held in November of each year. This year’s event date to be announced ! Volunteers plant, weed and perform various other garden tasks similar to, but on a smaller scale than Earth Day.

*All volunteers are required to complete a waiver form. You may choose to bring it with you to save time when you arrive at an event.

Attend Our Annual Celebrate the Preserve Fundraiser

  • 9th Annual “Celebrate the Preserve” Sunday, February 1, 2026 ~ Thank you to everyone in attendance, your community support keeps Laguna Niguel’s ‘hidden gem’ flourishing ! Proceeds from our Annual Fundraiser are used for major improvements to the Preserve. The event includes an informative presentation, a silent auction, great food, wine, beer and soft drinks and an opportunity to visit with friends. Funds from our 2026 event will  be used to renovate our Australian Forest entry.
