Sponsor a Tree

Gifts of trees to the Niguel Botanical Preserve offer a way to make a lasting donation to our gardens.  Donated trees are a wonderful means of showing love and respect for nature and sharing it with future generations.

• The location and species of tree must be approved by the NBP Board of Directors, in consultation with the donor.
• Trees are purchased and planted by the NBP in the fall during cooler weather.
• To assure the health and quality of the tree, specimens donated directly by individuals are not allowed.
• Plaques with names of donors or loved ones are not provided nor allowed.

Sponsor a Tribute Bench 

Bench sponsorships are not currently available.  It is unknown when additional benches will be added for sponsorship. If you would like to be placed on our waiting list, please email us at niguelbotanicalpreserve@yahoo.com.

Tribute Bench Policy (when available)

Tribute benches with dedication plaques are a special way to honor loved ones, family and friends, or to simply show the community the donor’s commitment to conservation through the use of drought tolerant plants.

• Gifts of garden benches and their associated plaques will be honored for 20 years, or until the bench needs to be replaced, whichever comes first. At the end of this period, donors will be given the option to renew their commitment.
• Bench locations will be determined depending on availability of spaces and in cooperation with the donor.
• Plaques will be replaced at no additional cost if fading occurs. Wording must be approved by the Board of Directors. Sponsors are encouraged to include a botanical quote with the name of the donor or loved one. Memorials, political and religious quotes are not allowed.

 Bench Cost (includes plaque and a one-year membership):

 6 foot bench:    $4,975   

4 foot bench:    $4,475 

Donate to the NBP from Your IRA Without Paying Taxes

Individuals who are 70½ years old or older may make qualified charitable distributions directly from an IRA to their favorite qualified charities.  The donated amount is excluded from taxable income, unlike regular withdrawals from an IRA, which are taxed as ordinary income.  The distribution must be made from the IRA directly to the qualified charity.  Please consider the Niguel Botanical Preserve in your charitable giving!
